I. WEATHERABILITY/ LONGEVITY

   A.    PLY-TRIM® holds paint 2/3 times longer than natural wood trim. The two-step MDO face is 
           impervious to the weather.

   B.    Marine Type Exterior Resin & Special Lay-up process provides for a superior exterior wood 
           trim product.

   C.    Primed PLY-TRM® will not peel, flake, check, crack, warp, or shrink.

   D.    Limited Warranty - There will be no structural failure or delamination for a period of ten (10)
           years from the date of manufacturing. NOTE: Limited Warranty sheet provided.

II. STABILITY - 100% USABLE PRODUCT

   A.    PLY-TRIM® virtually eliminates waste. It will not expand or contract like natural wood trim.
           Problem areas normally
           associated with wood trim, such as splitting, checking, cupping, and warping are not present 
           in PLY-TRIM®.

   B.    PLY-TRIM® is much stronger and more stable than any other wood species and it can be used
           without sub-fascia.

   C.    No callbacks - We’ve eliminated the problems.

III. LENGTHS AND WIDTHS

   A.    PLY-TRIM® is produced in three (3) net thicknesses - 5/8”, 3/4”, and 1”, and in all nominal
           board widths 2” thru 12”.

   B.    Very little cutting waste (1% - 2%). Produced in 16’ stock lengths plus trims. Some 18’ and
           20’ lengths are now being produced for stock.

   C.    Capacity to produce custom-sized panels up to 15’ wide and 26’ in length.

IV. APPEARANCE

   A.    PLY-TRIM® is the best looking, most versatile exterior trim wood available in today’s market.

   B.    The aesthetics and shadow lines of PLY-TRIM® are tremendous and will enhance the 
           appearance of any building. PLY-TRIM® can be used with any type of exterior siding, 
           including brick, stucco, wood, vinyl, or aluminum.

V. COST SAVINGS

   A.    PLY-TRIM® is a defect-free, 100% usable, extremely durable exterior trim product. The
           weatherability, quality and stability of PLY-TRIM® will eliminate callbacks. By eliminating the
           problems now present in exterior wood trim, a long term cost savings is realized. Notice your
           burn pile. This is the reason you add 15% to 20% more trim than is required to do the job.
           When you figure your true cost, PLY-TRIM® should be actually lower in cost.

1. STORAGE

• Inside Storage: Store trim in a warehouse or under a roof stacked a minimum of 4” off the ground.
• Outside Storage: Select the driest and highest ground available, keep area free of grass and debris that could wet the trim. Stack trim a minimum of 4” off the ground. Cover the product loosely with plastic sheets or tarps.

2. PAINTING

• Primed Ply-Trim® has been factory coated with an acrylic primer/sealer at a rate of 2 mils dry. Field (top coat) two unthinned coats of 100% acrylic latex exterior paint formulated for wood siding applied at a rate of 1.5 mils dry, are recommended for best performance.

3. CUTTING IN FIELD

• Saw with trim face up when using a fine-tooth hand saw. Saw with trim face down when using a combination blade power saw, prime cut end.
• When field cutting occurs, ripped edges must be re-sealed.

4. FASTENING

• Use of 3/16th inch head, 2 1/2 inch (8D) spiral shank, diamond point, zinc coated nail, or paslodes 2 1/4 x .092 Ring Shank Nail. When using a pneumatic adjustable depth driven tool, the nail should be driven flush with the surface of PLY-TRIM®.
• Product should not be installed at or below grade. It is recommended to install at a minimum of 1/2” above grade.

5. All Ply-Trim® boards contain a scarf joint and have a factory applied primer/sealer, therefore it is NOT recommended to rip the factory edge.

6. Ply-Trim® is NOT designed to be used as a scaffold plank.
